SAEA Membership
The Syrian American Engineering Association (SAEA) is the premier professional, technical, and educational engineering society dedicated to advancing Syrian buildings and infrastructure as well as the rebuilding and reconstruction efforts of Syria. SAEA was founded in 2012 in response to the destruction of the Syrian infrastructure and the large number of displaced citizen without proper housing and shelter.

What are the Benefits?
As a member of SAEA you will have access to the current and comprehensive information on the reconstruction efforts, projects under execution, and planned event and activities. You will also have unique networking opportunities with Syrian-Americans in all fields of engineering and in all levels of professional achievement to advance your career and share personal passions.
SAEA strives to connect Syrian expatriate engineers in the US with Syrian engineers, local governments as well as regional organizations in Syria and foreign government agencies engaged in Syria’s reconstruction efforts.
- Access to SAEA committees: Members may participate on various standing committees and sub-committees formed to address myriad technical and management aspects of the rebuilding and construction efforts in Syria.
- Access to training program: SAEA provides its members with training and educational resources needed in reconstruction and rebuilding efforts. As an SAEA member you are invited to utilize our critical information, training, and resources. SAEA offers direct technical assistance to the Syrian authorities with state-of-the-art expertise.
How do I join an SAEA committee?
After you are accepted as a member with SAEA you may petition to join the committee of your choice. The Chair of the receiving SAEA committee has the final authority to approve all applicants based on the number of member spaces available. Members will be able to attend all committee meetings to share their thoughts and concerns on various technical issues.
SAEA Membership Categories
Full Membership | Engineers, architects, technical professionals, and technicians who reside in the United States with a minimum of 2 year college degree. Membership fee is $95/year. |
Affiliate Membership* | Engineers, architects, technical professionals, and technicians who reside outside the United States with a minimum of 2 year college degree. Membership fee of $95/year is voluntary. |
Student Membership* | Students enrolled as full-time students in a four-year college or university in the US who are seeking a primary occupation as an engineer, architect, or technical professional. Membership fee of $30/year is voluntary. |
*SAEA Affiliate and Student Members are not eligible to vote in elections of Board of Directors or be nominated to the Board of Directors and/or Board of Trustees.

Please be sure to fill out the form completely. The application will be reviewed by the Membership Services Department upon online submission. You will be notified when the application has been received and upon approval.
