
In their recent work, SAEA has focused on the significant need for apartment and general housing rehabilitation needs in Syria. Utilizing their technical architectural and structural engineering expertise, members are engaging in a construction management capacity for consulting on much needed upcoming rebuilding projects.
As of the spring of 2019, Washington has estimated the costs of rebuilding Syria’s devastated housing and infrastructure at between $300 billion and $400 billion.
The many apartments that are damaged and unavailable for use are a large contribution to the continued housing crisis in the area, as well as lack of resources and constructions materials in areas of highest need.
