SAEA has traditionally centered around the Midwest, Chicago and Detroit areas, where there is a large concentration of Syrian Engineering professionals in the US. Detroit conferences have been a rich meeting center for engineers from throughout the Midwest to gather including members from Indiana, Wisconsin and Ohio.
The organization is considering methods for higher engagement outside of its midwestern stronghold. Syrian engineers and SAEA members from around the US are eager to participate from locations such as Arizona, California and Florida. All members are eager to participate in conference learning and attend social events.
SAEA is exploring the viability of virtual and hybrid options, as well as various chapters throughout the US.
