Following devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, SAEA moved quickly to create a fifteen-member earthquake response task force led by six specialized civil/structural engineers with combined experience of over 180 years in the analysis design and construction of reinforced concrete buildings. The other 11 members of the task force combine additional decades of experience in the electrical, mechanical, IT, environmental engineering.
At the upcoming Spring Membership Conference, Earthquake response will take a front seat.
Task force Members will present on damage surveying and condition assessment, and share samples of the damaged buildings surveyed. They will share key updates with the group, and share plans for continued support efforts.
