The exponential need for clean water in Syria has mobilized SAEA to engage in relief efforts with various projects within the water sector. After completing multiple water-related projects successfully, including those under the Clean Water for Every Syrian campaign, SAEA was awarded a generous grant from Global Water, an established force in bringing clean, safe water to developing countries (globalwater.org).
This grant will be utilized to push forward relief projects related to water on the ground in Syria. Specifically, our project leaders plan to make water more convenient and accessible for medical centers allowing them to work quickly, conserve budgets, and save lives. In the future, SAEA hopes to maintain the positive connection established with Global Water to engage in larger system planning and conflict resolution to enhance the long-term sustainability of water solutions in Syria.
