Using vital resources provided by a $10,000 grant from the American Relief Coalition for Syria (ARCS), SAEA engineers have embarked on a flood mapping project for Syrian regions affected by migration.

SAEA project managers completed the development of data acquisition system and the selection of the field engineer to begin testing the software in the field. Based on the results of the early tests of the software, we find the survey data collected suitable for the first of two stages of data collection.

In the recently held SAEA conference in Detroit, association members reviewed the project progress during a presentation of the work conducted under the grant scope and approved its further continuation as you see in the following pictures.

As more new data is added by SAEA to the database and enrich its content we will explore long term solutions for presenting the database results through a user interface to benefit many users.
