SAEA Meets with USAID Representatives
Washington, DC – March 4, 2013
Members of SAEA board of directors met with team leaders from US Agency for International Development (USAID) in Washington D.C. Discussion took place after a general address by USAID to a coalition of NGOs working to provide relief and humanitarian support to refugees of the Syrian crisis. USAID is focused on a primary goal of saving lives and supporting humanitarian relief. USAID and SAEA agreed to have a series of follow-up meetings to discuss joint future planning efforts for Syrian infrastructure assessment and reconstruction. The SAEA planning and development team is leading several projects with ongoing studies including damage survey, condition assessment and reconstruction of Syrian buildings and infrastructure.
