
In a recent successful membership conference with over 35 members and guests in attendance, SAEA members had inspiring, motivated and productive conversations surrounding project reviews and planning discussions. This was followed by networking and social activity indicating the value and interest in SAEA.
Key members pointed out two essential issues in need of attention to continue the thriving community, one of which being membership administration and expansion beyond the stronghold in the midwest.
The board discussed vetting, contracting and processing member applications and renewal fees, as well as a system to view active members accurately. This important administrative function requires a committed administrator: the board concluded that to improve membership administration, they will seek out a dedicated person with the appropriate skills to take on this crucial function.
