Water Purification for Refugee Camps

SAEA’s Planning & Development (P&D) formed a special task committee to invesitgate portable water purification systems for use in Syrian refugee camps.

SAEA P&D is communicating with authorities and local relief organizations in Northern Syria to supply engineering and technical skills and expertise required to support ongoing efforts to supply clean drinking water. Qualification of available vendors and specification is critical to proper operation and maintenance of portable solar powered systems.

Project team is currently testing a sample unit, translating the operations manual, and studying the required replacement parts and consumables.
